The Effect of Course Length on Individual Medley Swimming Performance in National and International Athletes We have examined the effect of different web lengths in short and long lane races for 200 and 400 m pivot swimming and compared swimmers of national level (Switzerland) with international level swimmers (WM). On average, the floats were 4.3% faster on the short point than on the Langbahn. The gender difference of performance was greater than on the short-run than on the Langbahn for international floats, but showed no difference for national floats. The sexual difference is the achievement with increasing route length for both tracks at national floats, in international floats only on the Langbahn.
