Participation and performance trends in ‘Ultraman Hawaii’ from 1983 to 2012 In addition to the ‘Ironman Hawaii’, Hawaii is also the ‘Ultraman Hawaii’. We examined the development of this competition between 1983 and 2012.The figures of female finishers increased in these years during the number of male finishers constant. Competition times were getting faster over the years and the difference in men over the women fell from 24.3% to 11.5%.Surprisingly, the age of top athletes increased significantly over the years.
