Alain Mimoun: Ahead of His Time Prof. Michael Joyner, see https://www.mayo.edu/research/faculty/joyner-michael-jmd/bio-00078027, has the French runner Alain Mimoun portrated under http://www.drmichaeljoyner.com/alain-mimoun-ahead-of-his-time/. This runner of Algerian descent was 1956 Olympic champion in the marathon before the legendary Emil Zátopek, who came to a sixth goal. In his short film Prof. Joyner shows that Alain Mimoun was trained at 90 years. In mid-2013, he died at the age of 92 years.

This runner is once again a proof that hard training improves survival early in life.
