Pre-race characteristics and race performance in hyponatremic and normonatremic finishers of Czech ultra-races The stress-associated hyponatremia is a well-known phenomenon in endurance sports and there are certain risk groups for shorter endurance charges such as a marathon. We have now examined in 138 finishers in long-distance races (multi-stay races and 24-hour races in mountain bikes as well as 100km and 24-hour race in progress), whether there are differences in selected variables such as age, gender, club affiliation, workout, experience, body weight and BMIare.
