Performance trends in 3000 m open-water age group swimmers from 25 to 89 years competing in the FINA World Championships from 1992 to 2014 Age class sports enthusiast have been usually studied in progress and less in swimming.Although older athletes swim in the pool, there has been a World Cup for swimming over 3000 meters in open waters since 1992. We have now examined the trends for the swimmers of age groups 25-29 to 85-89 years.It turned out that the number of participants over the years rose and the performance over the years became more and better in all ages.As a rule, men were faster than the women.
